If you’ve been trying to get to any of my sites this morning I’d like to start by saying, I’m sorry for the mess.
After 20 years I decide this morning it was time to leave MediaTemple and began the long and somewhat arduous process of moving my sites to Bluehost.
I’ve been a Bluehost client for a few years now on the professional side so I’ve had opportunity to interact with their systems quite a bit and I must say, it’s one of the better ones out there.
The long term benefit will be a better hosting environment with less headaches. I now have my domain names hosted independently from the web host which allows me more granular control. The downside is the migration didn’t go as smooth as I had hoped. There are some problems with authentication and I’m having to reload the website content manually. This appears to be a Bluehost generated issue. But, I’ve got a work around even though it’s a pain in my butt.
Daily Thing is pretty much finished now its onto Yosemite Blog which promises to be much, much more challenging. Once the dust clears I’m sure everything will turn out to be for the better.
Thanks for hanging in there!
