Nick Bradbury, creator of the wonderful FeedDemon RSS aggregator, TopStyle CSS editor and HomeSite (the longtime standard in HTML editing) is sounding off about Internet Explorer 7’s new Feeds API.
Nick Bradbury: “I can’t give customer data to Microsoft without some idea of how this data will be used.”
Frankly, I quite agree. There’s no reason to reinvent the wheel and I’m not sure what plans Microsoft has for this data. In case you’re new to RSS the data in question would be everything you subscribe to, in other words, every website you frequent. That’s strong stuff and borders on infringing your personal space.
