Rare, Remote Chimps Found
Chimpanzees in a remote Central African rainforest may have had little or no contact with humans until recently, said a report in the April 2003 issue of the International Journal of Primatology.

The so-called na?ve chimpanzees were discovered in Goualougo Triangle in the northern Democratic Republic of Congo. The 100-square-mile rainforest area is a 34-mile hike through dense forests and swampland from the nearest village. [Discovery Channel Daily News]
