Sometimes you just need something to make you feel all small and insignificant again so last night we spent the night at the top of Tioga Pass (9,945 ft) in the Yosemite high country. The stars were utterly magnificent.
Sorry there’s no pictures of the stars but with an outside temperature of 38 degrees (+/-) and clad only in shorts, sandals, and a tank top, I wasn’t about to hang my ass outside the car for very long.
Rather than take the time to find a campsite, pitch a tent, and go through the usual rigga-ma-role we opted to lay down the seats and sleep in the back of the car. Wide windows and the sunroof in the back are awesome.
Have to give special thanks to Nonna and Poppa for keeping the rugrat. He wouldn’t have enjoyed it as much as I did.
Pictures of the rest of the trip will be up soon over at Flickr.
