Intuition and Bad Luck

I guess it’s good I come from a family with a long standing tradition of being auto mechanics. When I first noticed the front windshield of my Jeep fogging up I knew instinctively it was due to a hole in the heater core.

Much to my surprise it was much, much more than just a hole. As I researched the problem and tried to reroute the hose around the heater core a segment of pipe, the portion that lets water into the core from the manifold, came off in my hands. Definitely a bad sign.

Things to do Monday: order new heater core.
