Licensing Office 2003

So after beta testing for the thing for the last 6 months I broke down and picked up a full copy of Office 2003. I didn’t really need all the bells and whistles like IRM, Access, or any of the stuff that comes in the professional box so I opted for the less expensive “Teacher and Student” version. Hey, being married to a teacher has its perks afterall. Well, other than that whole “I’m sleeping with teacher” childhood fantasy thing, I mean. But enough of that…

What was nice about the whole thing is Microsoft finally realized what people want, the ability to use the program on more than one computer. For instance, the “Teacher and Student” version of Office 2003 allows you to install it on 3 seperate PC’s. That’s pretty good considering their former policy of charging you the same price for only one installation license. Now, if they’d only start doing that with the operating system.
