So I’ve enlisted myself among the ranks of people currently doing the Atkins diet. Yes, yes, I know. I’m a sell out, but when you step on the scale and it doesn’t go any farther, it’s time to do the diet and excercise thing.
The good news is I’ve lost about 10 pounds in 5 days. Chock it up to no sugar, soda, candy, fastfood, and caffeine. I think sugar was my worst vice at 2 tablespoons (the big ones for all you non-cookers) per 24oz cup of coffee. That’s pretty sweet. I was pretty bad about soda too. Almost always had a Pepsi or Coke open. Since I can’t do artificial sweeteners it’s either decaf tea or water. Lots and lots of water. I feel so much better though.
There’s only one drawback to the whole high protein, lots of meat diet, I’m getting sick of eating meat.
